Poetic expressions For Parents Who Do Their Best In the Face Of Storms

Fathers cry when his children are in danger
when they cannot turn the steering wheel as the car driven by his child has crossed the double yellow caution line
in the middle of the road
to keep the swerving vehicle out of the headwinds of the oncoming unaware drivers in the rush hour traffic.

Unaware of the enemy that would steal the light from within because it's been done before long ago,
to take the  glowing essence of the father imbedded within his son because of beliefs that caused the highway
to zigzag on a path that is not clear because of the fog of momentum that are not true and hinder
a heart to unfurl and grow

Fathers comfort when loneliness hovers around the heavy downtrodden shoulders of his son
that cannot grasp the next rung of the ladder to rise up from the harsh training of old patterns
that are passed down from generations not knowing why

Fathers courage keeps anger in check when his children stumble in the same potholes that this father fell into
in young teenage times when standing to leap from the bridge of rebel gate

Fathers can hold up the shield when the son's tired arm is bruised and broken from the arrows of criticism
mad shameful attached labels

Fathers can hold a child focus, to accomplish and master with determination to
nervously persist late into the night to exhibit protection and strength

Father imprint upon his children and shape what is to occur because of an anchor of awareness and adventure
bring insight to have an attitude of accomplishment

Fathers strengthen a sons heart with smiles, bouncing off reasons to go beyond what is known
and open the cornucopia when all other friends have gone

Fathers meet their sons halfway up the stairs while a mothers heart sings with deep emotion a heart song
individual as the foundation under the Spinx at Luxor in Egypt
